19 year old man charged with Kells burglary

A 19 year old male has been charged with two burglaries following an investigation by Kells Gardaí.

On Thursday 15th of October a male with a surgical face mask entered a business premises in Kells and stole several thousand euro from the premises before making good his escape.

Following Garda investigations into this burglary, including extensive CCTV analysis, a male suspect was arrested last Sunday and was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

During the course of his detention Gardaí from Naas also interviewed him regarding a burglary at Supervalu, Naas on the 26th September 2020.

On the completion of the detention, he was brought before the District Court and charged with both burglaries.
