Three for Keane ahead of Ascot day trip

Colin Keane was on the mark at two tracks today as he remains five clear of Shane Foley in the race for the 2020 flat title.

At close of business tonight in Dundalk the Trim man has 87 winners to his credit for the season with Foley on 82.

Keane partnered the Tony Martin-trained Day Dreamin to victory at Leopardstown and then whizzed down the road to Dundalk where he had a double - one for Ger Lyons and the other for Gavin Cromwell - to make it three for the day.

Shane Foley had a double at Dundalk but was out of luck at Leopardstown going close on a couple of occasions.

Foley could close the gap at Leopardstown tomorrow as Colin Keane will be in action at Ascot where he will partner Even So for Ger Lyons in the Quipco Fillies and Mares Stakes (Group 1) and also feature in Group 1 action for Aidan O'Brien.

The duel with Shane Foley will resume at Naas on Sunday.
