Treble for Colin Keane closes gap to four

After closing the gap on leader Shane Foley to six Trim jockey Colin Keane lost some ground last night where he had a blank at Dundalk and Foley was on the mark.

That gave Foley a seven-winner advantage, but a treble today at Gowran put Keane right back in the mix and reduced the deficit to four (66-70) as the race for the 2020 jockeys' title intensifies.

Today at Gowran Park Keane had a double for Ger Lyons (Talacre and Mr Wendell) and was also on the mark for Mullingar-based trainer William Ross with Everyhouronthehour.

There is no action on the flat tomorrow, but on Monday Keane has a relatively short drive to Fairyhouse to continue his pursuit of leader Shane Foley who will also be in action.
