Keane lands Leopardstown opener on return to action

Back in action after 14 days in quarantine following his ride on Siskin at Goodwood, Trim jockey Colin Keane was in the winners' enclosure at Leopardstown today.

Keane partnered the Ger Lyons-trained Angel Palm to victory in a maiden.

It was Keane's first race back on an Irish track since he signed off two weeks ago with a winner at Galway on the Tuesday evening and then went to Goodwood to ride Siskin the next day.

On his return to Ireland he had to quarantine for 14 days.

Today, Keane made ground early in the straight and was ahead over a furlong from home.

It was his only winner although he went close on two other runners finishing second on Divine Celt beaten a head and also on Estepona Sun, also beaten a head.

Tomorrow the Trim man is back in action at the Curragh.
