Disruption to Navan water supply as main bursts on Proudstown Road

Irish Water is working with Meath County Council to repair a burst watermain in Navan. The burst occurred on the water main supplying water to Navan, on the Proudstown Road R162.

Homes and businesses in the following areas may be impacted by disruption to their supply while the repairs are ongoing - Navan town; Trim Road; Ardbraccan; Dunderry; Bohermeen; Ongenstown; Boyerstown; Blackcastle; Silverlawn; Boyne Road; Windtown Road; Gibbstown; Oristown; Rossmeen; Mullaghboy and Clogherboy. Water supply is being maintained to Navan town centre and the hospital from Carne Hill reservoir.

Crews are on site working to repair the burst watermain as quickly and as safely as possible. A traffic management system is in place for the duration of these works. The estimated completion time for the repair is expected to be 5.30pm though it may take a number of hours for the water supply to return in full to impacted properties.

Irish Water understands the inconvenience when a burst occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to repair the burst and restore normal supply to impacted customers. Irish Water and Meath County Council regret any inconvenience caused.
