Fans opportunity to meet the Meath hurlers

As has been the tradition for the last few years Meath GAA will host a meet and greet evening in Dunganny on Thursday 25th April (7pm) for supporters, young and old, to come and mingle with the Royal County hurlers ahead of the start of their Christy Ring Cup campaign.
This initiative started in 2016 and it proved to be hugely popular and successful with Meath going on to clinch the Christy Ring Cup in spectacular circumstances and the meet and greet has become a mainstay of the hurlers preparations.

Meath goalkeeper Shane McGann met young fans Joey Christie from Rathhmolyon, Andrew Gallagher from Boardsmill and Sean Davis from Seneschalstown at the first meet and greet in 2016.

Meath Hurling PRO Martin O'Halloran is urging all parents to bring their children to Meath GAA's centre of excellence next Thursday evening.
"The meet and greet evenings have become a hugely popular and vital part of preparations for the Meath hurlers and it is an evening they all really look forward to," O'Halloran told the Meath Chronicle.
"A couple of weeks ago the GAA launched their new manifesto with the tagline 'Where we all belong' and that is a very important message we want to get across to families.
"The GAA is for everyone in the community and these type of meet and greet evenings are vitally important to spread that message.
"It promises to be another great evening in Dunganny. We are inviting all the young players in the county, and their parents, to come along to our centre of excellence, meet their heroes, enjoy a puck around and maybe teach the players a thing or two.
"This is free event and and one that continues to go from strength to strength. Meath GAA are on the crest of a wave at the moment and we want our supporters to join us on this wonderful journey," concluded the hurling PRO.
