Mick has big Hand in Parkvilla victory
Substitute Mick Hand fired home a late goal for Parkvilla to give them a 2-1 victory over high-flying Kells/Blackwater in the NEFL Div 2 at Claremont Stadium today.
Hand's crucial contribution consigned Kell/Blackwater to their first defeat of the season in the league.
It was looking very promising for the visitors when they went ahead with a Warren Feehan header in the lead up to half-time.
In the opening minute of the second-half the Navan side equalised when Marcus Bailey crossed into the Kells/Blackwater box.
Parkvilla striker Aaron Kavanagh got a touch and the ball ended up in the net via a wicked deflection.
Kells/Blackwater did most of the pressing and Cian McCann and Brandon Browne went close.
However, with a draw looking the most likely outcome Hand popped up with the winner driving the ball low into the corner of the net for a dramatic winner.
