Lilywhites wilt in Pairc Tailteann

After suffering a series of defeats to Kildare the Meath hurlers enjoyed a well-deserved 1-16 to 0-16 victory over the Lilywhites in the Christy Ring Cup at Pairc Tailteann today. The home side led 1-8 to 0-7 at the break with the goal scored by James Kelly who embarked on a lenghty run before slotting home. Stephen Clynch capped a fine display for Meath with seven points, five from frees. The surprise victory sets Cillian Farrell's side up for a semi-final clash with Wicklow next weekend.
