Icy roads force postponement
Athletes in Meath were left disappointed today due to the postponement of the Navan AC 10km road race. The race, which was scheduled to take place at midday from Claremont Stadium had to be called off due to the icy and dengerous conditions of the roads in Navan. The race is an annual event for the Paddy Hyland Memorial Cup. No date has been set for the re-scheduled race, but it could take place next weekend, possibily even on New Year's Day, Friday, 1st January.
