Acclaimed international Celtic band, The Outside Track, are heading to Limerick and Dublin as part of their upcoming UK and Ireland Tour.
Winners of ‘Group of the Year’ award at both the Live Ireland Music Awards 2012 and the TIR Irish Music Awards, The Outside Track are one of the most acclaimed Celtic bands on the touring circuit. Three albums now from this multi-national contingent have stamped them not only as yet another new force in the music, but indeed, as Live Ireland described them, “Among the top groups in the world….traditional, creative, and brilliant on every cut”.
The Limerick and Dublin concerts mark their first Irish shows with singer Aoife Scott, next generation of the Black Family (Daughter of Frances, Niece of Mary Black). This year the band have had a jam packed year of touring in Canada, Italy, Denmark, Germany and have just returned from headlining the National Celtic Festival in Australia.
Hugely popular young ambassadors for roots music, The Outside Track's marriage of Canadian, Scottish and Irish music and song has been rapturously received around the world. Hailing from Scotland, Ireland, and Canada, its five members are united by a love of traditional music and a commitment to creating new music on its foundation. Their blend of boundless energy and unmistakable joie de vivre has won them a large following which has seen them headline festivals all over the globe.
The Outside Track play Dolans Warehouse, Limerick on 10th September, and The Grand Social, Dublin on 11th September.
