Solstice Arts Centre, Navan is hosting an exclusive pre-release screening of 'Albert Nobbs' on Thursday 8th March in aid of Meath Women's Refuge and Support Services. There will be a red carpet pre-screen reception in Solstice foyer from 7pm.

Albert Nobbs' celebrated soundtrack is the work of Navan-born composer Brian Byrne. His song 'Lay Your Head Down', recorded by Sinead O'Connor, and with lyrics by actor Glenn Close, was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in January 2012. Byrne will be attending this exclusive screening at Solstice.

Glenn and Brian Byrne collaborated in creating Lay Your Head Down over the phone. Byrne says: "It was one of the most honest collaborations I've done. And it was a delight to work with Glenn - I occasionally had to kick myself to remind me of who I was actually working with!"
