Friends in many places for ultimate Garth Brooks show

The Garth Brooks show ' 'Friends in Low Places' returns to Vicar Street this Saturday night.
Nearly three years ago Ballivor men Trevor Smith and his band mate Ken Gilic decided to form a Garth Brooks tribute show.
Little did they know that a small-time show which was regularly playing hotel function rooms and nightclubs would find itself on the international theatre circuit just two years later.
Around January of last year local promoter Conor Mulhall and his company Savee Entertainment started to develop it into a world-class production.
It soon found it's perfectly fitting name - 'Friends In Low Places', and today the show is an energetic theatre production featuring two hours of Garth Brooks classics performed by Trevor and his band. The band features some of the best musicians in the country - most of which are from Meath.
Trevor's long time band mate and electric guitar player Ken Gillic takes charge as musical director while on acoustic guitar is David Arkins, son of the legendary fiddle player Charlie Arkins. On bass is Athboy man Eoin Mooney.
Trim man Bryan Ennis who used to play with popular rock band Catch 22 plays drums, Navan man Conor Mulhall of Savee Entertainment plays piano and keyboards while Westmeath musicians Barry Coffey and Pete Mulkearns play pedal steel and fiddle. Legendary blues musician Don Baker who now lives in Summerhill, regularly appears as a special guest in the show.
With dazzling lighting display, pyrotechnics and flame jets, the audience is also treated to a brief tour of the life and story of Garth Brooks.
The short video presentation is narrated by Kells man and 2FM early breakfast show presenter Damien Farrelly, and features video and photographs from the most iconic moments in Garth's career.
Throughout the show you can expect to hear all the greatest hits of American country music legend Garth Brooks who rose to fame worldwide in the 1990s with his own brand of country music which spawned such classic songs as 'If Tomorrow Never Comes', 'Friends In Low Places', 'The Dance', 'Baton Rouge', 'Shameless', 'Unanswered Prayers'.
The show performs in Dublin's Vicar Street this coming Saturday night 21st January, and then embarks on a nationwide Irish tour in March and April before the guys then head across waters to the UK, Germany and Sweden as part of their European Tour 2012.
