Faulkner hits hat-trick as Trim Celtic advance

The Trim Celtic side before today's game with Ashbourne.

With the help of a hat-trick from Brian Faulkner Trim Celtic defeated Ashbourne Utd 4-1 in the FAI Junior Cup at a breezy Tully Park today.

Faulkner tormented the visitors all game and was unlucky not to add another goal or two to his account with Derek Donohoe also finding the net for the winners.

It was 3-1 at the break with Corey Moore scoring for Ashbourne however just after the interval Donohoe set up Faulkner for a well-taken fourth.

Ashbourne scored a second from the penalty spot with Shane Ryan netting but there was no stopping the Hoops.
