Gary Rogers extends Dundalk stay

Bohermeen man Gary Rogers, the current Meath Sportsperson of the Year, has signed a new contract with Dundalk ahead of the trip to Israel next week for the deciding game in the Europa League qualifying group.

Rogers joined Dundalk at the start of the 2015 season following three successful seasons at Sligo Rovers where he won the League title in 2012, FAI Cup in 2013 and All-Ireland Setanta Cup (v Dundalk) in 2014.

The success continued in 2015 with a League and Cup double with Dundalk and this year the club retained the league title and they are now on the verge of qualification for the knock-out stages of the Europa League.

“It’s great to get it done, delighted to continue my career with Dundalk. I wanted to stay so to get things sorted is great,' he commented on the Dundalk FC website.
