Major test for Navan Cosmos on Friday night

Navan Cosmos will face a major test of their title credentials this Friday evening when they tackle Drogheda side Abbey Celtic in the North east Football Premier League at the MDL, kick-off 8pm.

Cosmos are now in pole position to win the title that tthey almost won for the last two seasons and a win on Friday night would certainly be a big help as it would also leave Abbey nine points adrift.

However, a win for Abbey would throw the title race wide open as Cosmos also have to go to Drogheda to play Abbey.

It's goping to be a hectic finish to the season for Cosmos as they also face Rathkenny Rovers (currently third in Div 2) in the quarter-final of the Challenge Cup and they have a Kilmessan Shield semi-final date with Trim Celtic.
