Gary Rogers adds another FAI Cup medal to his haul

Gary Rogers added another FAI Cup medal to his trophy haul when he helped Dundalk to win the showpiece decider by 1-0 against Cork City in front of 25,103 supporters at the Aviva Stadium this evening.

Rogers completed the League and Cup double with Dundalk to mainatin a great run of success that brought an All-Ireland Setanta Cup in 2014, a FAI Cup in 2013 and a League title in 2012 all achieved with Sligo Rovers.

For Dundalk today, it was a first FAI Cup success since 2002 and now the Bohermeen man will be planning for next season another chance to play in the Champions League and get through to the Group stages of that competition.

Dundalk exited this season against BATE Borisov who went on to qualify for the Groups stages of this season's Champions League.
