Cosmos duo on target for nefl

The North East Football League made a great start to their quest for FAI Oscar Traynor Trophy glory this season when they recorded an impressive 3-2 victory last night against the well-regarded Leinster Senior League at Pearse Park, Crumlin.

The victory was all the more noteworthy as the manager David Doyle had to cope with a number of late withdrawals from the panel.

Two goals from Lar Ivers and another from his Navan Cosmos colleague Conor Walsh secured the impressive victory.

'Congratulations to all the management and players for a great win over the Leinster Senior League last Night, especiailly given the difficulties with a number of withdrawals,' stated NEFL secretary Gerry Gorman.
