Meath players in republic of ireland u21 panel

Former Johnstown player Dylan Conolly, now with Ipswich Town, and Dunboyne man Darragh Lenihan have been named in the Republic of Ireland squad by head coach Noel King for the forthcoming UEFA u-21 Championship Qualifying Round Group One fixture against Andorra at the RSC, Waterford on Thursday 26th March.

This game will mark the first game of the qualifying campaign for the UEFA U21 Championship finals in Poland. The tournament will contain an expanded field of 12 nations.

The nine group winners will qualify automatically for the 2017 finals. The four runners-up with the best records against the teams first, third, fourth and fifth in their group will go into the play-offs and be drawn into two ties to decide the last two qualifiers for the expanded 12-country finals.
