Good weekend for trim celtic
Trim Celtic advanced to the last eight of the NEFL Challenge Cup today following a narrow 1-0 victory over Dunsgaughlin with Derek Donohoe (pictured) scoring the vital goal.
Trim Celtic ladies celebrated their success as Leinster Football League Senior Ladies Development League Winners for 2014/15 with a comprehensive 8-0 win against Ashbourne.
The goals were scored by Caoimhe McKenna, Dervla Fahey and Karen Larkin (two each), Roisin Milner and Ciara Hanson
'It's not too often that a team wins their league so early into the new year but that's just what our ladies have done. All at the club congratulate the team from management to all the players,' commented a buoyant club official.
'This is the first silverware of the season and hopefully it will encourage all our other teams in the remainder of their season. Details of league presentation will be notified as soon as it finalised,' the club official added.
