Connolly in ipswich squad for this weekend

Former Johnstown player Dylan Connolly who was the recipient of an Outstanding Achievement award at the Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotel Group sports awards last month for his display with Shelbourne last season is named in the Ipswich Town squad to play Fulham on Saturday.

Connolly signed an 18-month contract when he moved to Mick McCarthy's side from Shelbourne two weeks ago.

Since his arrival he has played in a u-21 game against Millwall.

“The first-team has got to be the aim and that’s what I’m working towards,” Connolly told itfc.co.uk

Connolly scored 12 goals in 27 games for Shelbourne in the League of Ireland First Division last season.
