Kentstown hit three to pick up welcome victory

On bitterly cold morning at Kentsown the home side carved out deserved and welcome 3-0 victory over Duleek in the North East Football League Premier encounter today.

Kentstown gave themselves the perfect start when after just four minutes Paul McDonnell weaved his way through and unleashed a shot that stole in at the near post.

In the second-half further goals in quick succession from Stephen Cummins and Aled Ingman sealed the victory.

Duleek played well below their best although they did put together some decent spells of football.

They shipped a big blow however when they lost midfielder Garret Toal to a second yellow card on 67 minutes shortly before Cummins and Ingman struck.

Duleek did enjoy a good spell early in the second-half when they carved out some decent chances with their player/manager Trevor Molloy presented with a great opportunity he directed wide.
