Vandals target navan clubs facilities

Navan club OMP Utd have had to deal with vandals damaging facilities, but they continue to provide football for all their teams and were busy repairing the damage this week.

Club chairman Alan Clarke and the club's hard-working officials refuse to accept this type of behaviour and are determined to deal with it - volunteers were busy this week carrying out repairs.

'A big thanks to Simon Finnegan and Conor Collins for volunteering to help myself and the club to prepare our dressing room and pitch for our schoolboy section returning to action next week,' he commented.

'As you can see from the before and after pictures, we regularly have to deal with anti-social behaviour.

'We are a community soccer club for over 150 local kids so please respect our facilities,' he concluded.

As part of their fundraising, OMP will organise the popular Last Man Standing for the new season which will start on Saturday 6thSeptember.
