Another trophy for Gary Rogers

Gary Rogers added another medal to his impressive haul since he headed into the west to join Sligo Rovers in 2012 when helped the Connacht side to the Setanta Sports Cup today at Tallaght Stadium in front of a crowd of 2,600.

Rogers made a number of crucial saves at a rain-lashed Tallaght Stadium with Paul O'Connor scoring in the 12th minute.

The Bohermeen man made a superb save in the closing stages when Dundalk's David McMillan attempted a lob, but Rogers got a hand on it to force it away to safety.

'It was a great performance, the conditions were difficult, but we won and that's what finals are all about,' commented Rogers in a post-match interview on Setanta Sports TV.
