Cosmos defeat Rock and roll on in search of league title

As they had to do to keep their MDL Premier title ambitions alive Navan Cosmos carved out a victory over Rock Celtic today.

The Navan side won 4-0 at the MDL to set up a crunch tie next Sunday against table-toppers Woodview who were too strong for Duleek on Friday night.

Conor Walsh netted two against Rock while Paul Delaney and Paul Bartley were also on the mark in the resounding win.

Navan side created a host of opportunities against a Rock outfit that had Gary Lennon sent off early in the second-half.

Cosmos need to win against Woodview in next Sunday's showdown if they are to maintain their interest and also overcome Trim Celtic in their last game.

Woodview, who are four points in front, can claim the title if they defeat or draw with Cosmos in Sundays game which is also at the MDL. The contest is also Woodview's last league fixture of the season.
