Title for Dunboyne

The girls from St Peter's Dunboyne captured the Leinster Schools' u-17 title in Navan this afternoon with a 3-1 victory over Eureka, Kells.

This was a fast-flowing game with great football from both sides.

Shelly Melia gave Dunboyne the lead, but Catherine Dolan claimed the equaliser for the Kells side.

However, Dunboyne went into the interval with a 3-1 lead after Melia went on to complete her hat-trick with a couple of great strikes.

Both teams searched for more goals after the resumption, but Dunboyne remained in the ascendancy and captured the provincial title in the all-Meath decider.
