Former Trim Celtic player Tim Clancy ensured Robbie Keane's Celtic Scottish Premier League debut at Rugby Park on Tuesday night was an unhappy one as Kilmarnock clinched a surprise victory over Tony Mowbry's charges.
Clancy, who returned for his first outing in four and a half months following a serious elbow injury, was inspiration for Jimmy Calderwood's side at right back and rarely gave Aiden McGeady, Marc Antoine Fortune or Keane a sniff of the action.
The Trim man was also a pivotal figure in setting up Chris Maguire for the only goal of the game early in the second-half and when he was eventually replaced with 17 minutes remaining he received a huge ovation from the 10,000 strong crowd.
