Ashbourne to play at aviva stadium

There will be huge interest amongst parents and supporters of Ashbourne RFC in the Aviva mini-rugby festival at the Aviva Stadium next Saturday. 

Meath club Ashbourne RFC have been invited to play at the Dublin venue this Saturday (23rd May) in the Aviva Mini-Rugby Festival.  

Ashbourne will be one of 20 mini-rugby teams from that were picked from 240 clubs across the country who will get the opportunity to play where their heroes, like Robbie Henshaw, Peter O’Mahony and Dave Kearney, have played. 

 The National Festival is being held in the home of Irish Rugby, the Aviva Stadium, for the second year following a hugely successful festival in 2014.  The 20 clubs whill feature under-10 teams from all over the country.

They will be playing against each other in a non-competitive and fun environment which will give the players the chance to develop their skills on a pitch that has been graced by some of the world’s greatest rugby players in the past 12 months. 

Ireland and Leinster star Luke Fitzgerald will be there on the day to give tips and advice to all the players and coaches in attendance. 

Each player will receive a certificate of participation signed by Irish Internationals Paul O’Connell, Rory Best and Jamie Heaslip.
