Should they stay or should they go

Ireland enjoyed a great win over England at Ashbourne on Friday night for what is expected to be the last international Women's Six Nations fixture at the venue as the IRFU chiefs consider moving the Irish women to a more central venue in Dublin.

It appears that Donnybrook is likely to benefit from the demise of the Meath venue.

But is moving the game from rural Meath to a metropolitan venue actually the correct move.

Apparently, the issue over the floodlights at the game against France is not a determining factor - or is it?

Former Ireland international Fiona Coughlan led the charge to chase the flagship fixtures from the Meath venue.

Coughlan believes that the Ireland women’s team has outgrown Ashbourne and that a move to a bigger venue would attract larger crowds.
