Meath ladies feature in big win over Scotland

Three Meath women featured prominently for Ireland last night in the opening round of the Women's Six Nations rugby at Ashbourne where the hosts won by 59-0 against Scotland.

Marie Louise Reilly (pictured), Grace Davitt and Jackie Shiels (from Navan) all played a part in the victory that saw 11 Irish tries.

Shiels works in London and plays her club rugby with Richmond.

Last night Ireland were ahead by 32-0 at half-time and were never in any danger of defeat after Sophie Spence opened the scoring.
