Women's inter-provincial set for Ashbourne

Ashboure RFC will host the inter-provincial encounter between Leinster and Connacht on Saturday 7th December, 4.30.

The Leinster team will be captained by Marie Louise Reilly from Summerhill.

Ashboure RFC will host the inter-provincial encounter between Leinster and Connacht on Saturday 7th January, 4.30.

Reilly returns to the ground that she played on in the green of Ireland last March when the home side defeated France in the Six Nations.

The victory was a big step towards helping Ireland wrap up the Six Nations title. There was a huge crowd in attendance that that night in what was a massive occasion for women's rugby in Ireland.

In recent years Ashbourne has hosted a number of internationals and inter-provinicals in various grades with the facilites at the ground improved over the years to meet the standards required.
