Cup tie to be replayed

The Provincial Towns' Cup game between Ashbourne and Mullingar will be replayed on Sunday at Mullingar, 3.0 after the Meath club lodged an objection.

The tie was originally played two weeks ago with Ashbourne losing out 20-21. The Meath side led most of the way but conceded a last-gasp try that handed Mullingar victory.

Ashbourne lodged an objection claiming that Mullingar had seven subs named instead of a minimum of five. Mullingar appealed but the Meath club's objection was upheld and the game was refixed.
