Kells/Blackwater complete cleansweep

Kells/Blackwater u-13s made it a cleansweep of victories on the domestic front when they won the NECSL u-13 Premier Shield at the MDL today defeating Trim Celtic 2-1 in the final.

The winning goal came from Kuba Badzinski near the end of an entertraining contest to give Kells/Blackwater victory and secure the Premier Shield to the leauge and cup they had already won. Those triumphs meant that Kells/Blackwater created a piece of history as they also won the North Leinster Regional Cup last February.

James Foley gave the Trim side an early lead with Conor Kirwan equalising with a spectacular shot. Then Badzinski struck with the winner for the team managed by Simon Kirwan and Adrian Corcoran who continue on an amazing winning run.
