Huge turnout for Braveheart race

Over 500 runners lined up along the banks of the River Boyne in Trim on Friday evening to compete in the Braveheart 5K.

As usual the magnificently organised race, set against the backdrop of Trim Castle and on the scene of the 1995 Oscar winning movie Braveheart, produced some stunning running with Dunboyne's Rory Kavanagh claiming top honours.
