Utterly Butterly at Wolverhampton

Trim native and former champion pony rider Emmet Butterly was on the mark at Wolverhampton today when Echua won a class five handicap on the all-weather track over a mile and five furlongs.

Echua ran out an easy winner and picked up more than £3,000 first prize for the Donegal-based handler.

The now e-ght-year-old was off the track for three years from 2010 and was previously trained by Seamus Fahey in Kildare before returning to action at Kempton last November and starting as favourite.

Echua finished second on that occasion, but won the next time at Wolverhampton and followed up with another victory at the track this afternoon.
