English raider bids for Dan Moore Memorial Chase today

The Underwriting Exchange sponsor the feature Dan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase for the first time at Fairyhouse today with the 15-runner field headed by British raider Majala from the Tom George stable.

George sends Majala for Underwriting Exchange Dan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase which is worth a whopping €100,000 in prize-money.

Majala was sixth behind Simonsig in the Racing Post Arkle at last year's Cheltenham festival and Paddy Brennan will fancy his chances of landing the lucrative pot.

Local trainer Tony Martin runs Savello with Bryan Cooperon board and that duo should be popular with punters. Martin is also represented by Lastoftheleaders, Noel Meade runs Perfact Smile and Il Fenomeno while Gordon Elliott has Shrapnel in the race. That contest is due off at 2.20pm

Willie Mullins is doubly-represented by Gitane Du Berlais and Vicky De L'Oasis in the Grade 3 Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle (1.20pm) and the fact that Ruby Walsh rides the latter may be a tip in itself.

The action at Fairyhouse on Sunday begins at 12.50pm.
