Dundalk return for Murtagh

Bohermeen jockey Johnny Murtagh will return to action on the track at Dundalk tomorrow night after a spell on the sidelines. At the moment he has has two confirmed rides on the seven race card - Dansili Dual in the 8.20 - last ran over five furlongs at Windsor in October - and the versatile Denny Crane in the final race for Dunshaughlin-based handler Eddie Lynam, but the Kilmessan-trained Gretzky could be the one to follow there? Murtagh sustained a broken collarbone at the beginning of January (it was on New Year's Eve) while on a family skiing holiday in Austria and will be pleased to be back in action so quickly with the turf season set to start next month. Last year Murtagh partnered 48 winners in Ireland from a just over 250 rides. FAIRYHOUSE Fairyhouse races on Saturday will feature some grade two action with a juvenile hurdle and a chase the main events. The main track will be in use on Saturday with the going heavy, soft in places, at the moment. The following Wednesday (27th) Fairyhouse will host more action - on the inside track which is currently heavy.
