Meath trainers smiling at Dundalk

Meath trainers Eddie Lynam (pictured), Ger Lyons and Joanna Morgan made the best possible start to the 2013 flat season at Dundalk tonight with a winner apiece. Dunshaughlin-based Lynam was successful when recent winner Dimitar came from last to first in the home straight for jockey Shane Gorey. Morgan was on the mark with Balmont Flyer which stormed home inside the final furlong under Pat Smullen. TOMORROW Meath jockey Paul Carberry will partner Michael Scudamore's Monbeg Dude in tomorrow's Welsh National at Chepstow. Monbeg Dude, currently around 10/1, won the Grade Three Henrietta Knight Handicap Chase at Cheltenham in November. Kilmessan man Jason Maguire will ride Across The Bay in the big race. Barry Geraghty will be on duty at Sandown.
