Tattersalls Super Auction Sales Stakes returns to Curragh

Tattersalls Ireland has announced that the €125,000 Super Auction Sales Stakes is to take place at the Curragh Racecourse on August 24th 2013, a month before the September Yearling Sale on the 24th and 25th September. Marketing Director, Simon Kerins said: "We have had a good history with the Curragh Racecourse and likewise have been delighted with our association with Fairyhouse Racecourse who have gone to extraordinary lengths in staging our sales race over the past few years, the latest being run, the eve of the sale this year. The timing of this race is crucial and the move to The Curragh will allow us stage the race a month earlier than this year. The return to the Curragh in August and over the Anglesea course of 6 furlongs and 63 yards will increase the chances of better ground and give us a greater lead in time prior to the sale. "On a separate note we are pleased to confirm a full refund of entry fees for horses balloted out of the Tattersalls Ireland €125,000 Super Auction Sales Stakes and Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial €100,000 Sales Bumper run at Fairyhouse Easter Festival in 2013."
