OMP Utd move to the top
OMP Utd 2, Park Celtic Summerhill 1
OMP Utd surged to the top of the Meath & District League Div 2 with a narrow win on Sunday.
The Navan side contined their bright start to the season when they overcame Park Celtic Summerhill by the odd goal in three.
Andrew Kearney played a major role in deciding who would claim the points with two goals, one in each half as OMP displayed the required spirit and determination to win.
Kearney's opener put his side ahead at the interval and early in the second-half he added his second for a comfortable cushion.
Park Celtic Summerhill did pull a goal back through David Williams however, they were unable to conjure up an equaliser.
Kearney and Eanna Donoghue stood out for OMP who played well below their best while Ray Clavin was best for the the Summerhill side.

Kells Celtic opened their league campaign with the narrowest of victories over Electro Celtic at Nobber on Sunday morning.
The rain persisted throughout, but the Kells side opened the brighter and the went ahead with a fine solo goal from Shane McGeough who won the ball in midfield, beat three defenders before shooting home for proved to be the winner.
Excellent for the winners were Eoin McNamara, David Flood, McGeough and Seanie Curran while Thomas Tierney, Thomas Carolan and Brian Kelly were outstanding for Electro.

Boyne Harps 1
Kells/Blackwater put in a superb first-half display which laid the foundations for a win over Boyne Harps in this MDL Div 2 encounter at Drogheda on Sunday.
John Rennicks, Darren Tormay and John Kelly found the net for the visitors. Boyne grabbed a second-half consolation, The winners had first-rate displays from Craig Mooney, Tormay, Wayne Russell and Eugene Beggy.
