IT WAS a bleak Sunday for Drumree when they were hammered by SHC champions Kiltale in the A HL Div 1 encounter.
The visitors were very much in contention at half-time when they trailed by just 1-1 to 1-5 courtesy of Brian Walsh`s goal, but after the resumption Kiltale took over and Ger Troy`s goal was Drumree`s only consolation on a humbling afternoon.

Killyon managed just a single point in the second-half of their A HL Div 1 clash with Dunboyne and paid the price with defeat.
Clayton Keegan`s goal boosted the Hill of Down side to a 1-4 to 1-3 interval lead, but after the break Dunboyne used the elements to their advantage and deservedly claimed the points.

There was very little to choose when neighbours Rathmolyon and Na Fianna collided in the A HL Div 1 on Sunday, but it was Na Fianna who snatched the victory with a resolute display.
The winners got their noses in front in the early stages and despite a spirited second-half display from Rathmolyon, Na Fianna held on. Mark Lynch, Eamonn Regan, Gary Cole and Kevin Fagan were best for Rathmolyon.

Kilmessan weren`t at their best, but they proved that goals win games with victory over Navan O`Mahonys in the A HL Div 1 on Sunday.
The winners led by 1-2 to 0-4 at the break and despite the best efforts of Ciaran Dunphy, James and John Burke and Donal Hogan they held on against a stern O`Mahonys test.

Eanna Brody`s early goal failed to ignite Moylagh`s A HL Div 3 challenge as they managed just one second-half score and lost out to Na Fianna`s second string.
Moylagh led by 1-3 to 0-3 at the break courtesy of Brody`s goal and points from Barry Smith, but Na Fianna rattled over seven second-half points.
Despite the best efforts of Johnny and Christopher Boyle, Keith Mahon, Jim Ward and Barry Smith for Moylagh, the Enfield side claimed victory.

The battle of the second teams went Kildalkey`s way following an exciting A HL Div 3 tussle against Trim on Sunday.
Five successful frees boosted Trim to a 0-7 to0-5 interval lead, but an exceptional goal from Nick Fitzgerald handed the initiative to Kildalkey in the second period and they marched on for their second win in the competition.

First-half goals from Noel Regan and Noel Healy proved to be decisive as Rathmolyon scored a deserved A HL Div 3 victory over Wolfe Tones at Kilberry on Saturday.
Those early strikes inspired Rathmolyon to a 2-3 to 0-2 interval lead and while Wolfe Tones did improve after the break, Rathmolyon were too strong with Joe Regan, Alan Smith, Kevin Murray, Stephen Lynch and Noel Regan impressive.

Dunderry started their B FL Div 2 game against Donaghmore / Ashbourne on Friday night in impressive fashion, but still trailed by 0-4 to 0-6 at the break. Donaghmore / Ashbourne piled on the pressure after the break and despite the best efforts of Andy McGeough, Kenny Fay and David Jennings Dunderry couldn`t get back into the contest.

Carnaross made the long trip south to face hosts Longwood in the B FL Div 6 on Tuesday evening of last week and it proved to be a fruitful one for the north Meath men.
Longwood led in the early stages with a goal, but Damien McArdle`s goal brought Carnaross back into contention and left them just 1-4 to 1-5 adrift at the break. Cillian Comaskey made a couple of fine second-half saves to keep Carnaross in contention and McArdle`s second goal won the contest for the visitors.

Clonard started well, but Kilmainham had the capabilities to recover and earn their first B FL Div 7 points with a deserved win on Sunday.
Mark Lynch`s goal handed the initiative to Kilmainham in the opening period, but Clonard recovered to lead by 1-6 to 1-4 at the break. Clonard stretched their lead with a 1-2 salvo early in the second-half, but goals from Darren Morgan and Darren O`Sullivan earned the win for Kilmainham.
