Bulldogs represented against the Yanks

Navan RFC changed codes on Saturday when the Balreask Old facility welcomed the Irish/American Football Association as they took on the might of America's high school elite in a U- 20s challenge game.

The local team in the Royal County is the Meath Bulldogs and they were represented on the Irish selection by Jake Dunne, Adam Pyne and Jordan Reynolds

"We're so proud of our young Bulldogs that represented Ireland at Navan Rugby Club. Congrats to all our fantastic young players from all the great teams in IAFA. What a huge step forward for our game in Ireland," commented an official from the Meath Bulldogs.

Both teams provided entertainment in a well-contested game for a packed crowd of very enthusiastic fans that could be seen dancing in the isles during break times.

As far as we can establish, Ireland finished second, but nothing official has been received about the event either before or after - apart from a notice from the PRO at Navan RFC.
