Balreask Old the home of Navan RFC

Navan make admission free for crunch Wanderers test

Navan Rugby Club are to make admission to next Saturday's AIL Div 2B encounter free of charge as they seek to whip up more support behind the team. They also wish to make available to a wider audience the fine facilities at the club.

The side coached by Alan Kingsley are currently in fourth place and in with a real chance of making the play-off places at least.

"Ireland’s injury time winning drop goal against France in the opening round of the Six Nations rugby championship was the talk of the sporting world for the past few weeks….just as critical will be Navan RFC’s next All-Ireland League fixture at home to Wanderers RFC at Balreask Old next Saturday!" explains Navan RFC official David Cullivan.

"With the home side currently placed fourth and the famous Dublin visitors only one place behind them in the table, this match will go a long way to determining who will make the play-offs," he added.

"Having won the Division 2C Championship last April, and along with it, promotion to AIL Division 2B, Captain Bryan McKeever’s team are causing a sensation by pushing hard for promotion once again this season.

"To celebrate these rugby success stories, Navan RFC are throwing open the gates next Saturday 17th February at 2.30pm and all spectators will be admitted to watch the game for FREE!!!

"So why not come along to the fantastic facilities at Navan RFC and watch top class domestic rugby on your own doorstep this weekend!!!"
