Friday focus

Friday night football was the feature this weekend with lots of action across the GAA and NEFL locally.

Bective / Dunsany won the u-21 B FC title at Dunganny in a re-fixed decider against Carnaross / Moynalty securing the trophy with a 4-9 to 1-9 victory.

There was also a win for St Vincent's / Curraha in the u-19 FL Div 1 decider at Ardcath where St Vincent's/Curraha defeated Skryne by 1-8 to 1-7.

NEFL Premier side OMP Utd faced a tough Leinster Junior Cup tite against AUL Premier A side Hardwickle at the MDL last night and despite producing a spirited performance lost out 1-3 and also missed a penalty at 0-2 with 18 minutes remaining
In the other Leinster Junior Cup tie last night Ardee Celtic lost to Dublin side Usher Celtic by the odd goal in three.
In the NEFL Challenge Cup second round Newfoundwell beat Rock Celtic 2-1 and in Div 2 Parkvilla defaeted Woodview 3-2.
