Meath Pool League - first round focus

Action commenced in the Meath Pool League last Friday night with the match of the week featuring an eagerly-awaited encounter between Balreask A and Fox's A in Div 1.

Balreask won the next to bring the singles session to a close at 3-3.

However, Balreask were not prepared for what happened next as Fox's blew them away winning the four doubles games with McQuillan and Ciaran Wallace securing victory.

The tension increased again as the Fitzimons crew hit back to go on level terms (5-5) with Myles Murray and Karl Mooney showing real character.

Then, Kennith Cahill and John Lynch stood up with some great shots and carved out a dramatic victory for Loughran's.
