Road race in Oldcastle on 12th July

Oldcastle will be a busier than usual place tomorrow night with some traffic congestion a possibility as the St Brigid's Athletic Club host the annual Oldcastle 5k Run and Walk around the streets of the town.

The under-age action will set the scene at 7.30pm with the adult action timed for an 8pm off.

The event is supported by sponsors SuperValu, Oldcastle, Caffrey's Bar, Oldcastle and Tommy Smith Meats who were all present at the launch last week.

The Chronicle team will also attend the Cille's AC five-mile road race in Bettystown next week on Tuesday 18th July.
