OLIVIA MARTIN

One of the best performances over last weekend came from Bohermeen athlete Olivia Martin, who was in action in the Limerick Marathon on Sunday last.

The Limerick marathon was Olivia’s debut over the 26-mile distance.

Since returning to athletics she has won a number of road races and placed regularly in her category.

As she faced the starter at 9am along with some 1,000 runners she passed through midway quite fast in 1h:34m and she used her great experience well and held her form to the finish

to post a time of 3:17.07 for fifth lady overall behind the winner former Irish Olympian Pauline Curley from Tullamore
