Shipp shape at Headfort

Headfort Golf Club will take a 3-2 lead to Woodbrook for the Barton Cup final second leg after last Saturday’s action in which 13-year-old Evan Shipp was the star player with his partner Brian Dunne.

After Saturday’s action Headfort will take that advantage to Woodbrook on Saturday 3rd September in what is the club’s first appearance in the final since 1994.

On the way to to the final Headfort defeated Royal Tara, Bellewstown, Balbriggan, Corrstown, Balcarrick and then they negotiated Tullamore in the semi-final.

The Headfort team -  Des Renehan, Kevin Fagan, Niall Walsh, Lee Mulligan, Evan Shipp, Brian Dunne, Aidan Monaghan, David Burns, Alf Martyn and Robert Costello with joint-managers Kieran Walsh and Liam Hyland.
