Ger Lyons

Another winner for Lyons and Keane

Ger Lyons kept up his winner-a-day strike-rate at The Curragh three-day Derby Festival this afternoon when a recent arrival at his Kiltale yard won first-time out for the popular handler.

Colin Keane had the steering duties on board Sea Wolfe which was formerly trained in England by Michael Dods in Durham.

Running for the first tme in this country, the Irish-bred made an instant impact in the seven-furlong handicap.

The Sabrina Harty-trained Have A Nice Day was bidding for a third successive win in the race and went for home over two furlongs out by overhauling the front-running An Saighdiur.

Keane was alert and rallied inside the final furlong to win by three lengths from Jim Bolger's Club Wexford and Harty's runner in third place.
