DARTS: Magic Monday night recovery by Tara na Ri

Tara na Rí staged a sensational recovery against Maguire’s, Kentstown in the Navan & District Darts League on Monday night.

Trailinbg 0-3 after the opening salvo of games against the Maguire’s team of Kenny Hand, Matthew O’Connor, Dane O’Connor, James Rattigan, Peter Hackett, Antoinette Mullen, Olive Maguire and Paula Kearney, Tara na Rí got basck into contention.

For Maguire's, needed just one more game to claim the spoils, it was a serious collapse and after losing the fourth game 2-3 they started to look nervous.

The Tara na Ri players, Alan Hughes, Pat Callan, Micheal Flood, Mark McCormack, Shane Curtis, Stephen Duffy and Aaron Curtis edged the fifth game with another remarkable 3-2 win and as they headed into the final match of the night the visitors knew they had their hosts rattled.

The final match proved to be another thriller as Tara na Ri completed their remarkable comeback to snatch a point when Pat Callan defeated Peter Hackett 3-2.

In the night’s other Div 2 contest Lynch’s, Slane made amends for the previous week's 2-4 loss to Tara na Ri by taking the spoils against Lantern B.
