The Round O players had a good away draw last night

Round O and Lantern draw darts thriller

Navan & District Darts League action on Monday night produced some exciting games as players on all the teams took in the action at the Avivia as well as throwing some good darts.

The tie between Lantern A and Round O ended in a 3-3 draw with a number of 180 scores.

Ross Clarke defeated Barry Martin 3-0 while Sean McGillick was very unlucky with a gallant effort before going down 1-3 to Damo Doyle.

Des Keegan had a 180 and won 3-1 against David Martin and just to show how talented he was, Paul O'Rourke also had 180 and a 3-1 win over Alan Donahue.
Not quite as fortunate was Mark Costello who managed a 180 but lost to Shane McDonagh while James Bellew had a crucial 3-0 against Noel Byrne.

The game between Old Bridge Inn B and Tara na Ri also ended 3-3 while Old Bridge Inn A travelled well to Teach na Teamhrach and won 5-1.

After losing last week, there was extra motivation for Slane House to make amends and they did it in style with a 6-0 win against Lantern B.

Next week, all eyes will be on the Old Bridge Inn where the A team will tackle the B team and it has been suggested that extra referees might be required to watch for any 'off-the'ball' tactics, but this is not confirmed at the moment.
